The bison enclosure in Wolin National Park is an ideal spot for a family outing, located just 3 km from Warnowo 78. Situated along the green hiking trail, it offers an opportunity to observe the majestic bison in near-natural conditions.
Currently, the enclosure is home to 6 to 12 bison, with 1-2 calves born each year. The history of this site dates back to 1976 when the first individuals were brought from the Borecka and Białowieża Forests.
The area is not only home to bison – you can also spot wild boars, roe deer, red deer, and birds of prey, such as white-tailed eagles and eagle owls.
Rest and Refreshments
For your comfort, picnic benches, tables, and a sheltered area are available on-site. It’s recommended to bring your own food, especially if you’re planning a longer hike.
