Łuniewo Nature Reserve

The Łuniewo Nature Reserve is a perfect destination for nature lovers, offering a chance to observe unique peatland ecosystems in their natural state.

The Łuniewo Nature Reserve is a picturesque peatland area covering 10.54 hectares, located just around 1 km from Warnowo. The reserve was established in 1973 to protect the natural ecosystem of transitional and high bogs, as well as the Łuniewo Lake, which is gradually becoming overgrown.

Educational Trail

A 1.6 km educational trail runs around Łuniewo Lake, equipped with 19 stops featuring information boards and an observation tower. However, it’s important to note that the trail signage may be unclear in some areas.

Flora

The reserve is home to many protected plant species, such as the bog clubmoss, sundews, and various species of ferns.

Facilities

    • There is a forest parking area near the reserve’s forestry office, where you can leave your bike or car.
    • To protect the unique peatland ecosystem, visitors must stay on the designated paths and avoid disturbing the natural environment of the reserve.
